Been through a bunch of stuff with my boat this season. Gimble bearing nightmare. (check out post NO MOVE GIMBLE BEARING)
Starter, Ignition Blah Blah Blah. You name it.
Got her out on a lake Thursday. (yeah I skipped work)
Had a blast with my nephew and his two friends. Dragged them around the lake on the tube for hours. Plus, we had the whole lake to ourselves.
When coming in to the launch. An old man who was getting ready to launch his mini sailboat said to me:
"Thats a really nice boat. Chris Craft huh? I was watching you guys and I could not believe how quiet the boat ran. You were really going fast and I could hardly hear your engine."
I told him that's because it's a I/O and you are used to all the outboards out here on the lake. And also i have tuned the living crap out of this engine and drive. Many, many hours of work. He was also impressed with how we trailered the boat. It was just was nice to hear someone be impressed with all the hard work. I hope you guys get the same reaction when your boat woes go away for the 15 minutes of glory! LOL
