Last time out the stbd.motor wasn't running quite right.
Iit would start and run on 2 cyl and then as it warmed it #3 would kick in.
Then no problem for the rest of the day.

I hadn't used the boat in 3mo.(went back to work).
Decided to get it ready to fish and started it.
This time the 3rd cyl wouldn't kick in.
So I thought new plugs?
Then after a comp and spark test.
I realized no spark on top cylinder.
The connection plate where the leads hook to each other, sometimes the screws come loose.
Not the problem,I started checking the leads themself.
The first one or #1 cylinder the trigger lead was broken under the shrink wrap.
I did the tug test and it pulled right out.
The other motor I had changed the connectors 2 years ago.I thought I did this motor too(not)(CRS).
Replaced the connector and fired right up.
The little things, the wires are about a 22g or RDS (real damm small) and break easily.
I kinda knew what the problem was when it started but still needed to check the basics.
I check the motors on a regular basis but can't always catch the little things.
Maybe this will help someone???

Yes I know what you mean Jerry...Those wires on the terminal block for the ignition used to give me problems too. I finally did away with my Prestolite ignition system and installed a later model Mercury style CDM ignition system. The CDM ignition is easier to trouble-shoot and parts are cheaper.
