J115TSLECM Shift Rod Height

I have a 1998 Johnson J115TSLECM which was not used last season and that resulted in the shift rod becoming seized in the lower unit rod housing. In a moment of complete madness I unscrewed the shift rod.....BUT.....didn’t measure the rod height.
Does anyone have a method to get the rod height correct, or does anyone know the height and how to measure?

It is 21-21/32 from mating surface to center of the hole.----Measured in neutral.

Thank you racerone. I made a jig to measure the height and will be installing this weekend. I certainly appreciate the fast response and assistance.
