My motor needs a power pack. I have a spare here 583170, the parts list the pack for my motor to be 582285. The 583170 is electronically identical to the 582285 the only difference is the length of the orange coil wires. On the 583170 the wires are too short to reach to the other side of the motor. What are the thoughts on cutting the wires off the bad pack and adding them to the known good pack. I would solder them and marine heat shrink them. I think I have read that it is ill advised.
