I am in the process of installing s jabsco 155 searchlight and I ran into a wiring question. Of course I had to cut the wires in order to run them through the bow rail. Now when I go to hook them back up there is an extra grey wire. Does anyone know where it goes to? It's coming from the searchlight but there's no corresponding wire to hook it to and it really doesn't tell you much in the directions..😎

If you cut the harness, then the other end of the gray wire must still be on the end you cut off.

Nope it's not. There's 6 wires that come from the control, there's 7 that come from the light itself.

Just google Jabsco 155 searchlight schematic diagram as I did. The schematic that pops up does not show a gray wire and very likely is in the harness that would be used for another model that needs that wire. I find it highly unusual that you would cut the cable at the exact spot where the gray wire ended. What are the chances of that.

Jabsco finally got back with me.... They said that grey wire is only used on the 24 volt version. Mine is the 12 volt one so it doesn't go to anything...😎😎😎
