Need advice on purchasing a smaller-sized jet boat (14' - 16') that will seat 4 confortably and is still towable with a car. I have been looking for a newer Sea Doo Speedster LE but will consider Four Winns Flings, Bayliner Jazz, etc. which I know are no longer in production. Or, is a Boston Whaler a much better purchases dollar-for-dollar?

There are lots of aluminum fishing boats made here that would fit your needs....or maybe they're not spiffy enough?

That "towable with a car" is the scary part. Even the little jet boats are to much for a car. Start thinking truck or medium size SUV. If it just has to be a car, stick with canoes.

Kelly Cook

I had a jet boat. Whaler Rage. SHARP boat! but jet sucked. I would go for prop. Prop is nicer than jet and much more reliable. Jet is nice for buzzing around a bay or something. But Prop boats have my vote. Thank you

JAZZ ;)

It depends on were you want to boat. If it's lake Powell or any lake like that go for the jet! you will have a blast and not worry about ruining a prop! But if you plan to boat in a lake like, Deep Creek, Cheat lake, or any other like with trees around it..... GET A PROP BOAT if you suck up alot of leaves (you can't miss them) in the jet you will be stuck trying to find away to clean it out. A prop boat can easly handle that.

where do you plan to boat
