I'll post this here so that search engines can find it.
We have had a Jet Dock (assembled cubes) for our jet ski(s) for several years. I have seen forums where they brag about the ability to reconfigure them, which we want to do.
I'm here to say that it is not an easy thing if your jet dock has been in the water for any amount of time. It is virtually impossible to disconnect the connectors because of marine growth on the threads exposed to water. Ours is freshwater, and I can only imagine what saltwater would be like.
Plus, getting the currently-assembled one pulled onto dry land, not to mention getting it flipped over to work on, is way more than this old guy should be trying to do.
In two pretty-full days I managed to get about a dozen connectors disconnected and cleaned up a bit, so that's about six cubes.
I had to hack saw (just a blade held in a gloved hand) a few of them.
I still need to figure out how to get the assembly flipped over.
Taking today off. Mowing . . . something easy.
stay safe
