The only way is to remove the air box, the screws are on the front of the bowls. That seem like a bit of trouble, but. Do you stabilize your fuel or does it sit for extended periods.

I use a product called Sea-Foam, don't know what you have down there, a good stabilizer sta-bil marine or something like that should work. Just follow the instructions on the container ,should do it.

Simply remove the fuel hose and run the carburetors dry.

Runnig a multi-carb engine dry is not a good idea, all the carbs will not run out of fuel at the same, a cylinder or two will run for a short period of time with no lube on the cylinder wall.
Some people do it, but why take the chance.

When the engine is running oil has to coat all the parts in order for the oil to lubricate them.-----When one carburetor runs out of fuel there is plenty of oil on the parts to lubricate them for 10 seconds or so.-------The oil coating all the parts simply can not instantly disappear !!!!!

yes i realize that ,but i do't think that 10 seconds is much time ,it may be the other cylinder's work for other 20 -40 seconds more.
on this case this cylinder will be out of oil for 20 or 30 extra seconds .i wont take that chance, thanks for the good advice.

Lubrication of 2 stroke engines and what happens to the oil after the going through the carburetor is just not well understood !

Examine 2 V-4 outboard motors one being a Yamaha and the other a Johnson.-----Take them apart and you will see parts that are nearly identical in form and function.----The johnson mixes the fuel BEFORE the carburetor.----The Yamaha injects the oil after the carbuuretors with 4 wee hoses.----At idle the oil is injected say one drop at a time but not for every revolution of the crankshaft.----How then do you think the motor is lubricated between drops of oil ???
