johnson 115 starting problem

i have a 1985 johnson 115 if you hold the choke in it will start and run but soon as you let it go it dies, can switch the choke switch over to manual will start fine but soon as you turn it to run it dies any suggestions?

carbs are gummed up.

bad gas? been sitting for a while? idle mixture off. carbs dirty. bad fuel hose.
