I just bought a boat with the Johnson 140 motor I put the muffs on it and fired it up and it runs good has little bit of water coming from one hole up by the top not sure how much should be coming out or how hot it should be also not sure if there should be multiple places water is coming from. Any ways it runs great for several min then the buzzing alarm comes on and stays on which from what I read means overheating some I trying to get advice on what I should be looking for. Please take it easy first boat and motor lol. Thanks

Replace the impeller.-----Also do a compression test as a blown head gasket can cause overheating.

Ok thanks so you know what the compression should be about? And when I do the impeller can I do just that or just I get the water pump kit?
