Johnson 15, 4 stroke (watch video) pls help

Need some help pls watch video and tell me what you would try next. what i have done so far compression check 130 T & B cleaned carb set timing by the manual instrs. adjusted valve lash 0.10 mm intake (lower rocker) 0.15 exhaust (upper rocker) adjustment screw on carb has no effect at all , motor won't idle. ran same prior to work done so pls watch vid and help straighten her out . thanks

Spray some fuel into that intake, see if that smooths it out, sounds like its starving to me

I agree with Bosun, and the flame in the carb is a sign of too lean fuel/air mixture causing pre-ignition. It could be the idle jet is plugged, the idle speed screw needs to be adjusted, the idle screw needs to be adjusted, the fuel float/bowl level is set too low, or you are sucking air. Put it on half choke or hold your hand over part of the throat and see if it will idle. If it does you know the carb needs adjusting or you are sucking air from a loose carb or manifold, or either may be cracked.

if the timing belt is a tooth or two off 4 strokes can have these symptoms

well I think you guys are leading me in the right direction, I did as you said with both spraying some gas from a spritz bottle & closed the coke to almost all the way and she would run and not die, & smoothed out, I think I have the timing set correct..I lined up the mark on the cam pulley with the index mark on the rear starter bolt boss...then lined up mark on crank lower pulley with port side block halves (block /cylinder center line). that's what I read as to do it. So time to take carb back apart & inspect all parts of fuel system. Thanks all' I'll keep ya posted
