Johnson 150 hp 1996 faststrike/ignition problem

Hello!
Can someone please tell me what?s wrong when I don?t get ignition to the left side?s cylindres?

Yeh I had that problem....

On the gear shift arm there is a switch (on the lower starboard side), disconnect the wires from the switch and retest for ignition on your port cylinders.

if the spark does not return, reconnect the switch.

Now use a spark gap tester, set the gap to 7/16th inch and check for spark.
If no spark set the gap smaller until you do get spark, if you get weak spark the likelihood is the powerpack is faulty.

There are tests but you need a peak reading meter or multimeter with a DVA adapter, but its probably going to be the PP anyway.

It didn?t help, Thank?s anyway. I was sure that the problem would be really that easy but no. I did speak to our local dealer and service. They thougt the problem is in the Power Pack so I ordered a new on. What happens...Now I lost the other side, the right side is without ignition now, how f-k is it possible?

Mike, the two wire heat sensor also kills spark to 1/2 the motor. You might test it.

yeh but did you install the PP yet?
it controls all the firing.

did you check the current and ground on the coils?
