1998 OCEANRUNNER CRANKS & CRANKS BUT WON'T START.
VERY LITTLE SPARK IN PLUGS.
ANY IDEAS? ANYBODY KNOW WHERE OR HOW TO LOCATE THE SOFTWARE PROGRAM FOR THIS YEAR/MODEL?
Find out if the weak spark problem lies in the plugs or the ignition. Its unlikely that all plugs would have failed at the same time though. But to satisfy yourself on this matter, pull lead off each plug in turn and hold with a WELL INSULATED pair of pliers close to the engine case; spark should be able to jump 7 1/16" from the end of the lead to ground while your cranking.
let us know how you get on
WE PERFORMED THE SPARK TEST AND FOUND NO SPARK OR VERY LITTLE SPARK IN THE PLUGS. COULD THE PROBLEM BE IN THE CAPACITOR OR THE COMPUTER?
ANY WAY TO CHECK WITHOUT A SOFTWARE PROGRAM?
sounds like a powerpack problem then. My knowledge is too limited on your particular engine but there are plenty of good people on this forum that will have the answer to your problem so keep posting
good luck

I have a 1999 oceanrunner 150 also and had the same problem, turns out it was what the mechanic called an EET or what we call the optical sensor. have that checked, costs to replace it was 180.00.
