Johnson 1955 5.5 Prop Question

The Prop Spins ( Squeaks) Around The Rubber Hub Inside when force is applied,
it is slipping.
I Have Removed It And Cleaned The Rubber And Roughed Up Inside Of The Prop where the rubber hub was seated into.

Do I Apply Any Glue For Lack Of Better Word, Or Just Pound Back In?

Re: Johnson 1955 5.5 Prop Question

You need to take it to a prop shop and have the hub properly installed or
or have a new hub installed

That is because this is not a do it yourself type job. You must have the correct equipment to reinstall the hub in the prop with a NEW rubber.

What he said, Had a friend years ago tried to fix a 14 hp Scott prop.
Three times finally somehow rigged a bolt to hold it together worked for awhile but shook terrible and if he hit something it would most likely have messed up his gear case.Fortunately he found a prop before the vibration ruined his motor.
