Has anyone out there ever connected this vintage motor (or one similiar) to mechanical throttle/shift controls?
I'm using it as a kicker on a jet boat so I know some mods will need to be made. I believe I have a steering lever figured out that will connect the main jet nozzle steering lever to the main steering wheel. I didn't want to invest the big bucks in an electro type throttle control and I'm not even sure it would fit this older type of engine.
See attached pics to understand what my connections look like. This engine had a total rebuild this past year and runs like a new one. It also helped me troll over and catch several mid-30s muskies, 2-40s and for my dad a 46" muskie
Thoughts on what would be needed and where to purchase are appreciated!
