Hi .
Being a first time boat owner, please forgive me if these couple these questions come across as "silly"
1.what type of prop should I have on there ,I have been told it is not the right one ,The boat is a 15' Fiberglass hull ,used for fishing ..NO WATER SPORTS!
The markings on the current prop are..14x17.
2. Does any one have or know where I can get the part number,or the part itself for the tilt sensor (the potentiometer ,with arm) mounted on the motor ,as my one has seized .It has 2 wires
3. Does this model have a Pitot for the speedo on the motor its self, or do I need an external one ?.As the speedo is not connected ,and there is no tube to be found.
Many thanks

Standard prop for your motor was 17 pitch as you have. This would have been an uncupped one though. 14" diameter is the largest that can be run on your motor I believe. Typical is 13 1/4". Can't tell you the prop you need without knowing whether your prop is cupped or not and your max rpm and speed at wot. You should post this question in the prop forum.

2. Does any one have or know where I can get the part number,or the part itself for the tilt sensor (the potentiometer ,with arm) mounted on the motor ,as my one has seized .It has 2 wires

Part number for the T&T sensor for your motor is 0582153 and can be had both at online stores and EBAY. Cheapest I've seen lately is about $50.00.

You need a separate pitot with Johnsons/Evinrudes. I chose not to install such as they are inaccurate, don't start working until your going 15mph or so, and often fail due to debris clogging the sensor. GPS is far more accurate and works down to tenths of a mph. Since your a fisherman and probably already have a fishfinder, if you don't already have one with GPS, would probably be better to spend your money there.
