Model J2RCRS: from postings made by others it looks like it needs 50-1 oil. Web sites say J2RCR is a 1984 model but none show a model with an S at the end. Does that S stand for short shaft, or were there short and long shafts in '84? Thanks for any help.

The S is just the model run code. It's really meaningless. You've got the year and fuel mix right.<br /><br />I don't think they ever made a 2hp long shaft. There would normally be an L just after the first R (rope start) if it was.
