No sign of any electrical current comming out from under flywheel (magneto). Waiting for a puller to remove flywheel, in mean time any clues / ideas?
Otherwise a great out boa rd for it's age.
Howdy, Cleary.

Lots of things could cause your problem, from a bad switch to a bad powerpack.

Do you have a manual to guide your troubleshooting? If not, get one. It will pay for itself.

Let us know what happens.
Thank you for reply JB, no manual avaliable in Whangarei (160km north of Auckland, are there any online resourses avaliable, in the mean time, tomorrow I will have the fly wheel off and having a look. Cheers
Hi, Cleary.

At the bottom of this page, click on Repair Manuals and get access to some aftermarket manuals.

For Factory Manuals, there are a few sites that offer those.

Good luck.
When flywheel was removed, turned out the CDI unit has a small metal tab that sticks out and is in close proximty to the turning flywheel, too close in this case, and has been chewed out - new CDI for me now needed, US $152, any better options avaliable? Will need to be freighted to New Zealand.

cheers
