johnson 50hp broke t&t bracket

just took new to me pontoon out hit a 2x6x4 it broke the mounting bracket that holds tilt &trim pump .j50tlco 1985 yr. the support bracket discontinued, any suggestions, weld where to get one etc. thank you for any help :rain::smile-new:

Was it the engine clamp that broke? Or was it the support Bracket. If support bracket try a salvage yard. there is a list in the top secret files at top of forum.

Good luck! Finding parts for these units is next to impossible. Even used.

thank you jakedaawg and bonz-d for your responce ,very hi-dollar item. i was looking and i think if i can get 1 metal line i can move the tilt&trim motor/pump up and mount it to the transom of the boat, hope that elevating it higher than the cylinders dont cause any problems. ill try again thanks for your help.:)

Why dont you post a pic. I have a bunch of that kind of stuff in the pile on the hill.

jakedaawg ill have to wait until my daughter comes home to show me how to post pic, the part name is support bracket part# 122730 both tilt cylinders sit in it and are pinned the tilt pump/motor bolts to a 3 holes on the starboard side thanks for your help:)

Yeah, I know the part number but this is not labeled stuff. With a pic I could just send one of the kids up the hill and see what they come back with. I have years and years worth of scrap aluminum in a pile waiting for the right price. Every once in a while a loader bucket full goes to the scrap yard.

jakedaawg ,i moved the trim&tilt motor/pump to the transom ,drilled holes and mounted it. had to get another line , but it seems to be working fine for now thank you very much for your help:)
