I have a 1986 Johnson 50 hp. I ordered a complete rebuild kit from a company online. and I picked up the newly boarded block from the machine shop yesterday.I did order a manual with the kit. But they sent me one for up to 40 hp and up to 1971 . I have a 1986 50hp .
these are the torque specs for the 40.

Con Rod=29-31 foot lb.
Main bearing bolts=18-20 foot lbs.
Cyl head=18-20 foot lb.
Flywheel nut=105 foot pound.

can any one tell me if these are the same for an 86 50 HP?
and if not can any one tell me the correct specs for my motor.

Thanks in advance Mike

Have you tried johnsons website? If no one has them on here, try a library for a manual, they usually have them. These are the same numbers that my manual gives me for my motor, except for the flywheel nut, where mine says 140-145, but someone on here will have the specs you need for sure. GL
