Johnson 55 no spark somtimes.

Hello I have a 1979 Johnson it has a electric choke I am wondering can a faulty electric choke cause no spark?

No it can not.-----That motor does not use 12 volts from the battery to make spark at the sparkplugs !

Should the plunger for the electric choke be all the way in when it’s disengaged. Because mine is slightly in the middle
