Hello I am new to this forum and looking for some help please. I have a Johnson 55hp not sure what year. The boat starts perfectly fine first go but when I store it and try to start it the next day there’s no spark. I disconnected the black wire that activates the electric choke in the engine. And boom it starts. Is it bad to leve this black wire off can it cause any damage? Also there’s a purple and white wire that I left in.
