Johnson/Evinrude Model number lookup

Hi All,



I have a problem locating the model and year of my outboard. The plate is gone, but the cowl says 115hp Envinrude. I just want to be sure as I have to order some parts for it. The only number that is visible is the stamped disk `Freeze Plug``

Can anyone help please?

im assuming thats the only number on the freeze plug. pictures of the motor would help. From what i understand it is hard to determine the model number based on the serial number before a certain year. you think they would keep track of these numbers.

I come up with 1988, but that isn't correct because they didn't make a 115 in 1988. I think the "C" might be the reason. It appears the made in Canada models have funky serial numbers. In other words, I guess I don't know.

Thanks, Yes it appears to be made in Canada, but I cannot find anyone that can lookup the serial. it turns out the original owner did not register the motor for warranty? who does that?
