Hi To All. Well I'm pretty much done with it until I can fine tune it on the water (which is still frozen solid). Got all my parts just before Easter so got to it and had it running yesterday afternoon. Here are a few pictures. Thanks so much for everyone's help and a big thanks to High Trim. Started on fourth pull and then first pull after playing with the slow speed needleIMG_1961.JPGIMG_1952.JPGIMG_1865.JPG.IMG_1970.JPGIMG_1962.JPG

Cool, Rick. :) That is an example of the finest outboard ever made.

Looks awesome! Is that original? Definately a keeper. Enjoy it, great running, quiet little motors.

Very original and it has seen very little use by the looks of things. The fishing line behind the prop alone may have stopped it from running but the coils were cracked badly as well. Funny thing, there was rock hard grease in the impeller housing so I know it hasn't run since the impeller was last changed. I just realized today the needle dials are mixed up and need to be exchanged. Can hardly wait to have it on the lakes. The paint on the block looks like new with only a little discoloration on the exhaust plate. Still can't get over the thing being a 55 rather than a 54 but hey that's life. I did see a 54 and your right about the trim paint and decals being different. Still, it is a very rare JW-10 being a 1955. Rick.
