Johnson Model No. or Serial No. ??

J0003138 This is on the plate for a 40 HP Johnson motor. Anyone recognize this? Is it a commercial engine? It has 3 skegs on the lower unit and the prop seems smaller in diameter than a regular unit.

That serial number runs in a 1979 +/- series that I have noted on Evinrude recreational motors.

You will have to see a dealer to refine that.
