Does anyone know the points location on a '77 35Hp Johnson? I also want to know if the spark plugs are supposed to be wet Thanks in advance

Doesn't have points. It's a CD ignition. What's it doing (or not doing) that seems to be amiss?

You need to make sure everything's "right". The things to check are the throttle setting/timing advance; the low speed jet setting; and make sure your plugs are Champion L77JC4 (or QL77JC4) gapped at .040. A compression check wouldn't be a bad idea either.

Do you know the history of this motor?
