Hello I B. Welcome to iboats. I forget the dimensions of the shear pin right off hand, but you can simply take a drill bit and select the size that fits correctly into the shear pin hole. I wanna say it's 3/16" or 1/4". Here's a handy link that you can use to give the motor a tune up from top to bottom as well as a link to the pins themselves.

Re: Johnson Shear pin

Depends on whether it still has the 1954 propeller on it. That took a 3/16" dia x 1-3/16" long Naval Brass shear pin. 1956-1960 motors took same size, but Stainless steel. 1960-up propellers take a 3/16" x 1-3/8" long Stainless steel. Heck, check the length of the slot in the prop and use the longest one that will lay in there.

EDIT: 307949 is the longer one

EDIT EDIT: Short brass one is part number 301923. Short stainless one is 203663

Re: Johnson Shear pin

Thanks guys, for your quick reply. I should have thought of using the drill bit to size it. The motor has the original propeller. The whole engine looks original as well is the boat a 1954 Cadillac aluminium boat. A pretty sweet setup.
