Well, I finished wiring the coils with the recommended 18-5226 wire and now have a spool of approximate 95 ft left. Couldn't find anybody local that would sell it by the foot. However, I got a pretty good deal on Amazon at $4.96 as an add-on to another order. Now, that I have completed this phase, I did mark my wires as to which wire went to what plug, however I got to wondering what if I hadn't? What is the appropriate procedure for doing this? Your wisdom appreciated.

Well, easy if the flywheel is off, you can do a continuity test.

If you have done enough, you can peek under the mag plate, and tell by where the wire goes in which cylinder it fires.

Or, the hill billy method, try one way, if it backfires, swap em.

Thanks, Hightrim. I remember once as a kid, pulling and pulling on the starter rope trying to get the motor started when a stranger passed and suggested switching the wires. Started right up. Embarrassing.
