johnson transom bolt pattern

I'm adding a plate to my aluminum boat<br />transom for an 89 johnson 70 h.p. and would like to predrill the mounting holes, can anyone help me with the bolt pattern layout. Thanks

There is a drill template with the ABYC universal pattern that everyboy has that rigs boats. You should be able to take the plate (or boat) to your local dealer and let him drill the 4 holes. The template has guides for correct angle and guides for centering over the keel also.<br /><br />Good luck!
