johnson water pressure

im thinking about hooking up a water pressure gauge does anyone know what a good pressure is for idle/wot? also im a dumbass when it comes to 2 strokes but where is a water jcket that i can tap into? any pics would be nice<br />oh btw i have a 1968 johnson v100

As a starter go to the teleflex web site. I only recommend them because I have used both their products and website. I installed one of their waterpressure gauges and it worked great.<br /><br />On the web site you'll find on-line product descriptions as well as on-line installation instructions (therefore you can get an idea if it's feasible for you) and somewhere in there, there is a chart of expected water pressures for various makes of outboard. I found it to be accurate for mine.

1997 90 HP evinrude 8 - 10 PSI at idle 22 PSI at 5500rpm. line taps into left hand cylinder bank of V4

Hey mike481050, do you have the specs on a 1987 Evinrude 70hp by the way?

Sorry no. My experience is with my 1997 evinrude 90hp carbed (384 hours)

any idea where i would put the temp sensot on a 68 v100?
