i've got an old johnson thats been in family for 25 years. was under impression that it was 1959 30 hp. m# rde18e s# 1411595. i have just recently ordered a manuel for 1956-1970 johnson, should be in on the 29 th and that will be a big help in tune ups and pms. thanks also a great web site

Hooty, thanks for the reply. The title on this mtr. has it as a 1959. We,ll just leave title like it is. The state of Tx. gets to much of my money now as it is. As far as motor, not broke, fired it up after sitting up for close to 15 years. Had to replace fuel/air lines, fresh plugs, checked points, and fresh fuel. With starter she'll fire right up. Decided to try rope, I don't know what comp. is but its not like starting a 40 hp Ihad back in early 80's. Any way have some good holidays.
