Johnson Year---just checking----

Just picked up a Johnson J6RCRM #E6002165. The older gent I bought it from told me it was a 1981. After a little research, it seems that it's really a 1984, or so I think. Can someone be so kind to verify that it IS a 1984?? I don't have resources to do a serial search.

Model number indicates it is a 1984.

Thanks guys!, Now I'm off to find a manual,T-stat,and a water pump....in that order.
