I did a quick search and found no link to a page so I guess Illjust ask <br /><br />model # 6R 73S<br />serial # C 7931<br /><br />should this motor have the teltale pee stream ???<br />If yes where from ???<br />Ive been told some Johnys didnt have them ???<br />they cooled throught the exhaust ??? <br /><br />Gettin bad advice so I knew where to go <br /><br />thanks guys <br /><br />jamie

My johnson 125 does not have the pee stream it exits threw the exhaust (prop) and just above the lower unit. Sorry cant help you about year but that might help.

Engine is a 73 model.There is no tell/tale water indicator on that engine.

One way is to perform a touch check while the engine is running and warm at several loactions near the heads and block.Should be able to rest your fingers for several seconds before getting uncomfortable.Higher tech way is to get a 163 degree thermo melt stik and mark several loactions and see if it melts.I also recommend installing a new waterpump and T/stat if you don't know the history of when the last one was installed.
