I have a 1992 Johnson outboard that drops on the power trim and tilt under power or just sitting on the trailer. Where and how do I check the hydraulic fluid level for the trim & tilt?

There si a resivour (sp? anyway, a container) that is part of the motor/pump assy.<br />there is a threaded plug on the top of this res--- container. Remove it. On some, there is a dipstick behind it.On others, there is not. If not, use a pipe cleaner to check the level.

Re: Johson 150 outboard

Thanks for your help. I made contact with a local Marine Service center and they headed me in the right direction. There is a cap on the holding tank that has a slot in it. The cap was only finger tight. I was advised to put a screw driver in the slot and give it a good twist to set tight. This took care of the problem. It apperently was leaking by enough to loose pressure.
