Johson Lower Unit 95 / Fast Strike

Yes can some one help me here with a broken lower unit its on a 95 / Fast Strike 150 its broke on the front part of the lower unit can it be welded as to replaceing it ,,, I have one that belongs on a 175 Johonson but don't have any details of the year or even if will work on the 150 what yaer will fit the thing and so on ,,hit something in the water at Cumberland lake also it broke the hinge top which is not a problem and bent the tilt cly. rod ,,,,, need Info on tearing down or takeing the lower unit off to look at the dammage asap if some one could send me a diagram of where to start other than the bolts on the bottom ,,,,,done this at WOT scared the ever you know what out of me so gents help me here and thanks to anyone who replies

Does anyone have any Ideal if a 175 lower unit will work on this 150 johnson and can it be fixed

Any V6 gearcase will bolt up but you must use the shift shaft and upper drive shaft for the 60 degree motor. Since you dont know the year of the 175 it's hard to be more specific. I would be very concerned about the tilt cylinder ram being bent. What is the "hinge top"? Look in your manual to get the exact description.<br /><br />Good luck!
