Just over 2 mths ago my MIL was diagnosed with terminal N stage congestive heart failure, we recieved a phone call at 3am today from the hospital informing us that Ingrid has only a few hours left, I have just got home having left my wife with her father & 2 sisters at her bedside.

Ingrid, at the age of 9, was one of the jewish children smuggled out of Berlin in 1939, she never saw her family again, they were all killed in the houlocust. Probably for this reason she always put her children first and it's a comfort to know that she has her husband Ken and 3 daughters Sally, Linda and Sue (my wife) with her at this time.

I am praying that when her time comes she passes peacfully and with the dignity she has always had durring her life, I am also praying that God gives Ken, Sue and her sisters the strength to cope with Ingrids death. Also, a little selfishly, I pray that I will be strong enough to support Sue when she needs me.

Thankyou all
