What's the average length of your anchor rope if you've got a Jon boat? Figure for catching bass, I don't need to be anchored to anything deeper than 20 ft. Anyone?

You should always have at leased 100' of rope no matter what, you can never have to much but can always not have enough......

Mushroom anchor, 30-40'. Navy style, 40-50'. Fluke style, 50-75'. You're gonna be on your back before conditions get bad enough to warrant 100' ... :)

I have 2- 50' and 1- 30' anchor lines for my 1436 jon boat. I normally use a single 50' line, but have used 100'+ when the wind/waves were getting bad. The extra "scope" lets the anchor dig in and hold instead of being yanked off the bottom of the lake.

If you boat where there is current, you want one that will hold you if you break down.
for sitting still to fish, mushroom on a short line is all you need.
