I am replacing the floor in my 14 foot fiberglass jon boat. I stripped everything out of it and sanded and grinding it all down. On the inside. It is smooth and all the paint has been removed. I gave it a good wash with soap and water to clean it up really well before I start putting the floor in. While doing this I turn the boat on it sign and kind of held it at an angle while washing the inside of it. By doing this the middle would slightly flex but I kept it balanced enough to keep too much pressure off of it in the middle. Since the floor is so light and thin do you think me holding it on its side and it flexing is bad for it? I plan on putting two layers of fiberglass 1.5 Oz chop strand before I even begin putting my deck in just to make sure the floor is extra thick. Do you think this is ok to do?
