Jonboat Platform Replacement

I have a 14ft SeaNymph jonboat with wooden platforms on bow and stern areas, which include pedestal seats. Looking at replacing my jonboat platforms which are 3/4 inch plywood supported by 2x4's.

Replacement platforms to be covered with carpet.

Any recommendations on lighter decking materials?

Ayuh,... For a good strength to weight ratio,...
Plywood is hard to beat...

I helped a friend do his 16 ft jonboat he used aluminum square tubing then a sheet of aluminum it worked great.He already had the aluminum!!! or like bond-o said plywood!!!I have done them with plywood and had no problems at all!!!
