Recently worked on a 125 Force. The guy spent $500 to have it FIXED at a local Ft.Lauderdale marina.
They were supposed to change hoses and rebuild the carbs and do something minor like setting the timing..
They managed to change the hoses,no problem.
The carbs were set wrong and the parts put in were junk.(see pics)
The floats were not adjustable, never heard of that in a Force.
The carbs wouldn't stop leaking no matter what I did to them.
The one pic (white)is the junk float. The others pics are the correct float levels.
Float level pic is supposed to be flat.
The float drop is not supposed to touch.J

Re: Junk parts!!

I've had the same experience. Ordered a new set of floats several years ago, can't remember where from but they were those white plastic ones that you have pictured. The tab that pushes against the needle valve was plastic and not adjustable. Sent them back. Got a set of used late 1990 carburetors that were broken real cheap, but had the right kind of floats. Took the floats out of them and used them instead. Some of the stuff that the aftermarket suppliers sell is junk. You have to be aware and really pay attention. Last set of power head gaskets I used were made in Italy. I was kind of concerned but they turned out just fine.

Re: Junk parts!!

I used one of those all plastic floats, I adjusted it by cutting a small slice of (yellow) fuel hose and sliding it on the center tab, not great but it worked.
