I have been towing my Crownline 180BR with a GMC Envoy for two years while I looked for a vehicle I would really like to have to tow with. The Envoy did a fine job too and I have no complaints, but my wife never liked it at all. I bought it just to hold me over and it did fine.
But I just bought a 2003 Toyota 4Runner Limited with the 4.7L V8 engine. Only has 95K on the clock and I got it for $10.5K. What a deal. Seriously this thing has every option available as far as I can tell. It's even setup with the electronic brakes for towing a camper.
I know it's not a 4X4 since I can't lock in in 4WD, but it does have the 4Low option and it has an option to lower and raise the vehicle. It also has some Downhill feature that have no idea what that does.
It's dark blue with taupe interior which will look nice towing Lil Red, and I will also be much more willing to drive it regularly as a daily driver and keep the Volvo in the garage. Also just bought the wife a 2006 BMW 330XI so she can't complain.
