My brother has stated that the Chryslers are a dirty word in the boating world. How much truth is there to this, I mean really, I have not had much luck at all with the Johnson V4 I have and If the Johnson doesn't run this weekend I am pulling it and running this Chrysler I got.
The Chrysler looks like its only got a couple of seasons on it and the seller said it ran like a top and came from a wrecked boat. I have cables ordered and a control stand off ebay.
What are the biggest problems with these Chrysler motors. How come my brother is hating on them so much? One of his friends said that every time I take it on the water I'll need to be towed home. Really? It can't be that bad or any worse than any other outboard can it? The only thing I am finding to be scarey is the limited parts availability. But this motor was rebuilt and only has a few seasons on it and it is super clean, and 100% there with no rigged parts.
