We just purchased a 1971 15 x 55 Kayot Houseboat. It was a former rental and came off of Lake Powell a number of years ago. I have owned a Pontoon Party Barge before but this is our first Houseboat. It has steel toons that appear to be in good condition. I have been reading here and I am going to pressure test them. 1st question how many PSI to test steel toons?
Does anyone here have experience with this type of older boat? It is dry docked and will be delivered to our property next week. It needs some renovation, mostly cosmetics and the outboards need to be checked and repaired as needed. It has twin Johnson 60 hp with hydraluic steering.
I really need someones brain to pick with tons of questions. I am thinking of putting a purasan system for the head, but not sure where to mount the unit.
I will stop here for now, but like I said I need lots of advice!!
