Re: Just bought my first fishing boat
Congrads on your new boat purchase, the boat looks like a fine boat from the lowe web site, and the yamaha on the back is one of the finest motors out there, A few tips on Buying a new boat though. When a dealer sells a new boat, They make the price tag look better by sticking a motor on the back that is in the low to mid range size of the max allowed hp for the boat. This boat you are getting if new, can handle a 75 hp. It will push the boat better, get on plane better, can pull a skier, and also will also get better gas mileage because it will not be in much of a strain to push the boat. For the few extra bucks I would recommend the 75 hp. You will be a whole lot happier in the long run. and also if you are buing new get all the electronics added. for it is easier to just add to loan than tell the wife , "by the way we need a gps and a depth finder and a stainless steel prop, and it is going to cost a extra 800.00" Good luck and I know you will be very Happy!!
here is a copy of your new boats web page:
