Well my winter jon boat project is almost finished and ready for the crabbing season. Motor is rebuilt and just finished the sanding and primer coats with etching primer. I have put one coat of antifouling paint down which wasnt a perfect coat but it covered everything. The second I did it all over and was more liberal on my coat. The final was very detailed making sure I got every little crevace.

So my question is how many layers should I apply, I am up to 3 now. Its a 14 ft flat bottom aluminum boat about 4.5 feet wide, and I only used 1 quart so far, thought I would use more so I bought 3 of them but anyways thanks for the input...

Are you leaving the boat in the water for the entire season or will it hit a trailer once in awhile? I am sure you have enough paint on there.

Normally if I take it out around my house it will be in the water for the day but if I take it down to Ocean City MD maybe a weekend or a week here and there but not permanate... Also I just did my 3rd coat at about 6pm how long should I wait till it can come out of my garage and get into the water?
