I was able to salvage the decal and added some new stripes. All done with Krylon and some elbow grease! It didn't take long to prep. It gave me a break from sanding on the 66 Boston Whaler hull that the engine will be going in!

Nice Job! I am going to paint my 91 Evinrude 150 once I get it running the way it should.............It needs to run before it can look nice!

Very Nice. I have the same engine and had considered this as well. Mine is not terrible, but still 35 years old. What colors did you use?

BTW, do you have a source for the light green that the rest of the motor is finished in?

Thanks...

For the orange, I used a Rustoleum Ultra Cover Gloss "real orange". For the small stripe above the orange, I used some gold accent paint applied with a brush. The base white is also Rustoleum. The decal is original to the cowl. I am thinking about applying a clear coat to the entire cowling after lightly sanding the entire cowl with 600 grit. I will post a pic after it's complete.
