Just found out!!!!!

I'm going to be a Grandfather! Or is it Step-Grandfather. Either way my wifes son is have a baby with is Fiancé. (which is another issue entirely)<br /><br />My only problem is at the ripe old age of 36 I am way to young to be a Grandpa.<br /><br />So I was hoping you guys could help me out with what I should be called. (keep it clean guys. )<br /><br />We were thinking of Pop Pop John but I don't know. <br /><br />By the way they are going to push up the wedding to April so at least that's handled although it didn't matter to me one way or the other.

jg, with mine it was always paw-paw.<br />paw-paw this and paw-paw that.<br />not pa-paw and not grand-paw for sure.

Congrats, JG!<br />Like you, I found out just last month that I'm going to be a grandfather. My daughter & her boyfriend were married a week after dropping that bomb...<br />And, like you, I think I'm too young (even at 50) to be a grandparent. I'm getting used to the idea, tho.<br />I don't care what the grandbaby calls me, I'll answer to anything!!<br />We've got a lot of spoilin' to do, bud!

Yeah this is going to be cool. When I think about it it's kinda comical. At least from my Daughters point of view.<br /><br />The C-in-C is only 4 will be 5 in July. My sister's expecting her first (in July) so Alli will have a new Cousin but she will also be an Aunt in September (due date is 9/3). It's Just so weird.<br /><br />And you Right I realy don't care what I'm called. I will tell you this He/She will love boating if I have anything to say about it.

Grandkids, ain't they great! I've heard that grandkids are natures way of paying our kids back for their stuff over the years. <br />BTW mine call me Pa-Pa and they love to fish.<br /> Now here is the kicker, I have an 8 year old boy, (fishing buddy) and a girl expected in early april. If the boat is hooked to the truck the boy is at the door ready to go.

Congrads to you and Brian.<br />YUP BTDT my oldest Rabbit got married at 18 and ten months later turned me into a grandpa at 36 also (almost 37) <br />Let the kids pick a name. You might be surprised.<br />50 now with 7 grandkids 2-14 so I'm used to the word now

Congrats jg, you will love being a grampa! much more fun than being a father. my two call me papa well it actually sounds more pupa but you get the picture. and dont feel bad i made my dad a grampa when he was only 38. i got an early start and if my kids would got as early a start as me i would have been 34 for the first one. fortunatly they both waited till they were a little older. still a grampa at 44 is pretty young.

Closer than you might think OBJ, I listed 50 but that soon will change on the 8th of march <br /><br />Heres one for ya. I had to look in the 2003 Fish and Wildlife pamphlet to find the oldest ones age. When they came up for a couple weeks last summer it was his last year without needing fishing license.

Congrats!! My wifes daughter made me a "Gammpy" last March at 38. I love the looks when I show folks the picture of my Grandson. He was the first in the new boat with me the day it arrived in the driveway. They are pure joy and puke and diapers and toys all over and screaming and joy.
