There are three air valves on the old Quicksilver 3OO inflatable I just picked up. With two of the valves removed, I pump air into the third and the air is coming out of the ports where the valves are removed. Should it do this? I thought there were multiple chambers in these boats. Is something ruptured inside?

Welcome to Iboats,

Definitely blown baffles. Put valves back on. Inflate each chamber separately, the one that holds air is in good operating condition, other 2 are definitely shot. The only down issue boating that way is that in the event the tube punctures, cuts, abrades, whatever, you will haver 2 down tubes instead than just one. Baffles are repairable, it's hard work and costly if doing at a boat shop.

Happy Boating

Yup...all baffles are blown. Filling one valve blows the whole boat up. It was like that when I got it because air was coming out of the other two ports when the third was being filled.

And it has leaks in two of the seams...lesson learned: Never buy a used inflatable from kijiji.ca, especially if they don't have a pump and they claim it worked fine last summer. At least I didn't spend much on it and I got them to throw in a "Seahawk 4" inflatable which, while cheap, holds air like new.
