Newbie here. Its my first boat ever and was going to take out my Sea Eagle 10.6rik and Tohatsu 9.8hp and was wondering if anyone has towed a tube with someone. Was thinking of purchasing a tube but need feedback from all who have tried this. How and where would you tie the rope to the boat? All info is appreciated.
Thx,
Mike.

If not wanting to drill side d'rings at transom's back, tie a V rope in middle engine & engine plate, must have a ring attached to it, place a cork float at least 3/4 mt. after rope passes engine lenght to avoid prop/rope entanglements when rope is loose floating on water.

Happy Boating

Hi,

I often tow my kids with my inflatable. It has a 20 horse Yamaha 4 stroke and for the most part it works great. I sometime get some cavitation when I push too hard.

I have hooks in the transom and connected a v rope to it with a float.

Good luck,

Darryl

my guess is you could tow a child/tube with a 9.8, but once you add the legal spotter in the boat, probably won't plane...

if it does plane, it will be too slow to be fun
