Purchased a 18' Kenner center console and if you let go of the wheel it will turn right and keeps turning right. I adjusted the skeg and it made no difference. Any input would be appreciated.

Don't let go of the wheel.

Seriously, boats with RH props tend to pull right. The trim tab can be adjusted to compensate, but usually not at all speeds. I set my motors where the steering feels neutral, at the speed I usually use (med cruise).

There are No Feedback steering systems that lock the wheel in place when you release the steering wheel. You still need to turn them against the pull of the motor, but they will hold whatever position you leave them in.

Did you adjust in the correct direction ? Usually only takes a small adjustment at a time. As mentioned it won't stop it all together, just at certain speeds. Picture of your lower unit so we can see what you have.

Helped people out with this problem twice.

1. Installed 25” motor on a 20” transom.

2. Showed them how to trim the motor properly. Torque should all but disappear when properly trimmed.

If a outboard ? Some have a friction adjustment to create a centering drag. Are you a inboard engine ?

Sorry 90hp Mercury. Boat has a 22" transom. I think I will get a non feedback steering system for this boat. Thanks for the input
